Now that the April heat wave has ended and the usual April showers and cool spring temperatures have arrived here’s a few family friendly things to do this weekend!
On Friday evening from 7-8pm Barnes and Noble in Exton is hosting an American Girl Doll event. This month the featured American Girl is: Kirsten! This event is FREE!
Also this weekend at Barnes and Noble is Saturday Morning Story time at 11am.
On Saturday from 10am - 4pm Exton Mall, along with Chester County Moms, is hosting their Spring Family Fun Festival. Many community representatives and local businesses from will be on-hand to answer questions and provide information about summer camps, family activities and services and more. The Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels will also have a table with live animals from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the Franklin Institute’s Traveling Science Show presents a Three Little Pigs experiment at 11 a.m. and a space suit simulation at 2:45 p.m. Other interactive activities include a live DJ, face painting, jugglers, balloon artists, magicians, a puppeteer, spin-the-wheel prizes and much much more!
Also Saturday at 10am Pottery Barn Kids at the Court at King of Prussia is hosting a free National Geographic Little Explorers Event. Kids will learn all about sharks through hands-on activities, quizzes, songs and more!
If you are already in King of Prussia on Saturday you can head to Lakeshore Learning Store to do a free craft from 11am – 3pm.
If your little one is a builder head to Lowes in Downingtown, Pottstown or Avondale for their Free Build and Grow Workshop with The Croods from 10-11am.
You must register your child at www.lowesbuildandgrow.com The kids get to test their building skills by creating a planter inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s THE CROODS.
You could also head to Warminster this weekend for the Baby & Toddler Expo. This is the 18th annual Baby & Toddler Expo. It will be held at SMG Sportsplex and admission is free. There’s plenty to do including Friday night’s free Mom’s Night Out! This year, they will also be collecting donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand! Check out products and services specially tailored to families with young children and expectant parents. Check out the giant inflatable play park and hourly entertainment. Show hours are Friday, April 12th 6 p.m to 9 p.m (Mom’s Night Out) Saturday, April 13th 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 14th 12 noon to 4 p.m. FREE ADMISSION!
Lastly, if you’re looking for a Free Sunday morning family event head to the Brandywine River Museum between 9am and Noon.
